This styled photo shoot was taken by Lisa Housman of Party of Seven Photography and hosted by The Blacksmith Shop in Macon, Georgia. This historic building in downtown was once a working blacksmith shop but was renovated to become an event venue. A lot of The Blacksmith Shop’s original character is still evident today, like the exposed brick walls and rustic barn doors. The feel of the venue was inspiration for the shoot. The focus of this design was to create a “family heirloom” feel mixed with rustic and vintage elements.
We were lucky enough to have two models who are actually engaged in real-life which made their connection authentic! Samantha and Austin were kind enough to lend us their good looks for the day in exchange for some practice for their own wedding next year.
While some of the props for the shoot came from a local antique store, most were donated by our model bride’s mother. From the mix-and-match china settings, to the old books and antique chest, every piece held a special memory.
