Recieved my Pantone Color Guide for this year-- this sort of thing makes a wedding blogger thrilled!

Another Bridal Week has come and gone, and I have the Oh-Brides recap for you! I received my OFFICIAL Pantone Color Wheel (see above photo) for 2013 last week, just in time for the second half of this year && 2013 weddings seasons and bridal fashion weeks. This color guide gives over 180 colors for all things wedding and fashion, and is the standard  and universal color guide that designers and wedding coordinators use across the world. I’ll create some inspiration boards over the next couple weeks with the new colors I have but for now, let’s recap on bridal week:

Vera Wang’s 2013 collection is the most talked about event of the week. Her collection included a selection of A-line gowns with rich red tulle overlapping and cascading from head to toe. This is a rather bold design and line of wedding gowns but for Vera, anything goes! Last Fall her upcoming 2012 collection included tones of champagne and black, so we figured she’d have something even more daring to share. Vera’s New Collection will be released and available this Friday at selected stores. Check out Vera Wang’s Facebook Fanpage for more details and locations here.

Sparkle and pizazz shown on the runway as Monique Lhuiller’s line of bridal gowns took the stage. Her upcoming line is one of glam, diva, and vivaciousness. The sparkle and life to this dresses is one that will look beautiful on brides of all styles and sizes! A bit “loud” but definitely for the bride looking to get noticed and remembered.

Badgley Mischka is one of my all time favorite designers. They have such a wide selection of designs and their trends are one that always fits the current styles but always comes with originality and flair that everyone is always talking about. They took it to a whole new level with their glam gowns for the 2013 New York Bridal week. Satin, Lace, Silk, and more– they incorporated various mediums, mixed and matched and create a very vivid and G-L-A-Mourous line I can’t wait to check out when it hits stores in a couple of weeks. Check out more of their designs for Fall 2012 here.

Love and Tulle,

Kate
