Patterns are on the rise for the modern bride. Everything can have a pop of pattern, from table runners to sashes–the right pattern can add a touch of whimsy and detail. Three patterns to watch are chevron stripes, ikat and florals.

Chevron has been on the bridal scene for the past year, but brides everywhere are still taking advantage of it’s simple look and classic effect. Normally used for pops of color, this is a pattern that will grab your attention.

Ikat is gaining momentum as 2013’s wedding pattern to know. Similar to a tribal print, ikat is a bit more refined and works well by choosing two-toned colors. This is a trend to watch!

Florals may be an obvious choice for brides but bright florals are gaining attention in the market for adding a vintage feel to wedding decor. Be careful with overdoing it–using them sparingly make the biggest effect.
